CENTRAL VALLEY, N.Y. – When Gasho of Japan Hibachi Steakhouse in Central Valley closed its doors for good, the owners didn't forget about the Koi Pond in the back. The owners of the property have caretakers under contract who are caring for the fish, according to the Times Herald-Record.
California Water Gardens of Newburgh has been making sure the Koi fish are fed and their water remains habitable despite the restaurant being closed. Area residents grew concerned for the fish and some trespassed onto the property in an attempt to care for them, the Record reported.
