MONROE, N.Y. – A 32-year-old man pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a stabbing in the Village of Monroe last month, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Fredys Gutierrez-Zomora was charged with first and second-degree assault as well as criminal possession of a weapon all stemming from an alleged altercation that left a 21-year-old with a punctured lung on Sept. 21, the Record reported.

The victim recovered after four days in the hospital. Gutierrez-Zomora's bail was set at $100,000 cash or $250,000 bond. He is due in court again on Nov. 21, the Record said.
