NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. – Stewart Air National Guard Base's 105th Airlift Wing has spent the last week working in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
The 105th was aiding in relief efforts in Puerto Rico last week and will now head to Florida to set up the Joint Incident Site Communications Capability (JISCC).
The JISCC allows airmmen to quickly set up internet, voice over IP and other modes of communication.
Hurricane Irma, which was once the strongest storm ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean, made landfall in mainland Florida on Sunday. It's path of destruction has left millions without power.
