21-Year-Old Charged After Entering Rockland Home, Refusing To Leave

A Monsey man was arrested after entering a Rockland County home and refusing to leave.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday when the Ramapo police department received a frantic 911 call from a home in the Village of Hempstead, the department said on Facebook.

The caller reported that an unknown male had entered their household and refused to leave. The suspect was forced out of the home by the resident. 

Police were able to locate the  21-year-old man in the area who appear to be intoxicated and claimed he knew the owner of the home, police said.

The man was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
