Investigators with the New York State Police in Orange County are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a man who is wanted after being busted with more than two dozen fraudulent credit cards.

An alert was issued for 26-year-old Fernando Pile, Jr., who is wanted on charges that include unlawful possession of a skimmer device, second-degree forgery and possession of a forged instrument after he was busted during a traffic stop in Monroe.

Police said that during the traffic stop, Pile was found to be in possession of 26 fraudulent credit cards and a skimmer device. Further investigation revealed that he had attempted numerous credit card transactions at Wal-Mart without success, leading to warrants for his arrest in Monroe and the town of Woodbury.

Pile is known to reside at Deer Run in Middletown and on Bruckner Boulevard in the Bronx. He has been described as a 5-foot-9 black man weighing an estimated 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who knows of Pile’s whereabouts have been asked to contact state police in Monroe by calling (845) 782-8311 or emailing CrimeTip@troopers.ny.gov.
