Cornwall Football Ranked Fourth In State

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – Several Orange County high school football teams can be found in the latest New York State rankings, including Cornwall, who held on to their No.4 ranking in the Class A division.

Cornwall improved to 6-0 by beating Monticello 58-0 on Saturday. The Dragons face Port Jervis (4-2) on Friday night. 

Newburgh Free Academy (4-2) dropped from the 11 spot in the AA rankings after losing to Monroe-Woodbury 28-17. Monroe-Woodbury moved up 10 spots with the win and now sits at 18th. 

NFA will hope to get back to its winning ways against Middletown on Friday. Monroe-Woodbury will face off against Pine Bush.

In the Class C rankings, Burke Catholic (5-1) is the top-ranked school in Orange County and No. 5 in the state. They face Chester, who is also 5-1 and ranked No. 16 on Friday.
