I-84 Lane Closures Will Also Impact Route 52

Motorist should be prepared for lane closures and slow downs during road construction on I-84 beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, in the area of Route 52, according to state DOT officials.

The work is expected through 5 a.m. Sunday as crews perform bridge repair work, weather permitting, DOT said.

During the construction, westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane and detoured over the Interstate using the Exit 8 exit (Route 52) and entrance ramps while repairs are made to the bridge.

Traffic on Route 52 in the vicinity of Interstate 84 is also expected to be impacted during this time, DOT said.

Motorists should anticipate delays, plan accordingly, and seek alternate routes where possible.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
