Bail Set For Goshen Farmer Accused Of Starving Horses

GOSHEN, N.Y. – A Goshen farmer accused of starving and killing horses on her farm had bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond on Wednesday, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Jeanne Ryan, 51, was arraigned on 10 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and 10 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty after authorities found 10 horses starved to death at her farm and another on the verge of death, the Record said. 

Chief Assistant District Attorney Christopher Borek said any deal offered by the county would involve some kind of incarceration, the Record reported.
