A registered sex offender who was convicted of having sex with an underage girl has reported a move in Orange County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 57-year-old Dale Storms, who has moved from Ann Street to First Street in Newburgh.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Storms as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Storms had deviate sexual intercourse, sexual contact and disseminated child pornography involving a minor older than 11 on Christmas Eve in 1996. Storms was convicted of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child in September 2004 and sentenced to 162 months in prison. He remains under the jurisdiction of the Newburgh City Police Department.

Further info on Storms from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
