Unruly Bar Patron Fights Staff, Breaks Glasses, Lower Swatara Police Say A 34-year-old unruly bar patron was arrested after police said she fought staff, other customers, and broke glasses at a bar in Middletown this weekend. Genovera Mowen was forcibly removed from Angie's Diner on S. Eisenhower Boulevard, around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, before police arrived, Lower Swatara Police said. Mowen was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Harassment (Physically Strike), and Criminal Mischief. Mowen is presumed innocent until proven guilty by the courts.

Mustang Driver, 77, Dies When Car Falls Down Embankment In Lancaster County: PD A 77-year-old Mustang driver died when her vehicle fell several feet into an embankment Saturday, Feb. 3 in Lancaster County, police said. The woman lost control of her 1964 Ford Mustang just before 7 p.m., on the 1st block of Roosevelt Boulevard, drove off the roadway, hit a curb, then fell nearly six feet into the embankment onto its side, Manheim Township police said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information may reach out to the Manheim Township Police Department and contact lead investigator Corporal Swigart.

Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead In Newark A 28-year-old man was killed and another wounded in a Newark shooting this weekend, authorities said. Jaquill D. Swain was found on the 100 block of Dewey Street around 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 having suffered a gunshot wound, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:32 p.m. A second victim who was shot was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is active and ongoing.
