NJ Couple Killed In VA Crash: 'Really Bad Dream' A New Jersey couple was killed in a crash in Virginia last week, according to their obituaries and news reports. Corey Wetmore, 28, of Brick Township, and Brittany Forsythe, 26, of Browns Mills, both died in the Halifax County crash on Wednesday, Nov. 15, Virginia State Police said. Wetmore was heading south in a 2006 GMC Envoy on a Virginia street around 8:15 p.m., when the vehicle ran off the right shoulder, State Police said. Fairfax Fire Lt. Travis Traynham Dies On Thanksgiving Fairfax County Fire & Rescue is mourning the loss of one of their own. Lt. Travis Traynham died while off duty on Thanksgiving, the department said. "Lt. Traynham will be greatly missed. Chief Butler and FCFRD extend our deepest condolences to Lt. Traynham’s family, friends and anyone whose life he touched," FCFR said in a tweet. Elizabeth Woman's Killer Captured: Cops Gerard Manning has been captured. The 30-year-old man wanted in the killing of Victoria Myers on Thanksgiving morning in Elizabeth has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel said. Myers was found dead on Mravlag Manor Thursday morning, Nov. 23, officials said. Manning was on the lam ever since, and was arrested Friday, Nov. 24, Daniel said. Thanksgiving Eve Crash Kills NJ Mom Support is on the rise for a New Jersey family whose matriarch died in a crash the day before Thanksgiving. Lauren Gerhold, of Hackettstown, was heading north in a Jeep SUV on Route 517 in Allamuchy Township around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, when a Jeep Wrangler heading east on Ridge Road struck the passenger's side of a Fort pickup truck, heading south on Route 517, New Jersey State Police said. Man Shot Dead On Trenton Sidewalk Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed on a Trenton sidewalk Friday morning, Nov. 24. It happened on the first block of Oliver Avenue around 6:30 p.m. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Capital Heath Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a shooting homicide. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Sudden Death Of 'MVP' Police Detective Greg Wilson Shakes NJ Town The Franklin Township (Somerset County) Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own. Detective Greg Wilson died on Wednesday evening, Nov. 22, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, his obituary says.
