John Seres, 84, Of Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – John Seres, of Bridgeport, died on Friday, March 11, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was 84.
Seres was born in Bridgeport to John D. and Stephanie Picory Seres.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
After his military service he worked as a carpenter, cabinet maker, and construction worker.
Seres was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Bishop Seres,
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, at 10 a.m. at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.

Ann Marie Mercurio, 67, Formerly Of Yorktown
YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Ann Marie (Bolster) Mercurio, of Clinton, Conn., and formerly of Yorktown, died on March 7, at her home in Fort Myers, Fla. She was 67.
Mercurio was born on Dec. 11, 1948, in the Bronx to Thomas and Ann (Szczepanski) Bolster.
She attended business school, working as an administrative assistant for Burroughs Wellcome & Company in New York City and owning a hair salon in Ardsley.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Robert J. See,, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow, died on Saturday, March 12. He was 70.
See was born in Tarrytown on Sept. 22, 1945. to Albert and Susan Hongach See.
He was a retired employee for General Motors
See is survived by his wife, Roberta, three children, Robert of Asheville, N.C., William of Thomasville, N.C., and Michele Ann Carter of Boston, Mass., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Albert and sister Loretta.

NORWALK, Conn. – Gloria R. Taylor, of Norwalk, died on March 9. She was 60.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1955, in Washington, D.C. and raised in Norwalk by her parents Kermond Taylor, Sr., and Ruth Mitchell.
Taylor attended Brien McMahon High School and Eastern Connecticut State College, working in the community for many years as a nurse.
She was predeceased by her father and sister Deborah Reede, and is survived by her mother, two brothers, Kermond and Ralph Taylor, two sisters, Darlene Bowen and Charmaine Tourse and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

NORWALK, Conn. – Catherine 'Kitty' Gilmore, of Norwalk, died on Friday, March 11. She was 82.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1933 in Orangeburg County, S.C. to Eddie Hill, Sr. and Elease Dupree Hill.
Gilmore worked for the state Department of Developmental Services until her retirement

WESTPORT, Conn. – Louis J. "Bud" Fratino, a lifelong resident of Westport, died on March 11. He was 84.
Fratino was born on Dec. 31, 1931 to Salvatore and Elizabeth (nee Carroll) Fratino, serving in the Army during the Korean War.

Lawrence Bennett, 92, Former Dutchess County Assemblyman
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. – Lawrence Bennett, a former state assemblyman for Dutchess County, died Wednesday, March 9, at age 92 in Newburgh, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Bennett was born Sept. 15, 1923, and served as a Democratic assemblyman for the former 96th District, which covered Poughkeepsie, Beacon and parts of Ulster and Orange counties, from 1983-94, reported the Journal.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary, according to the Journal.
