SADDLE RIVER, N.J. –Catherine S. Butler, of Saddle River, died Tuesday, Jan. 19. She was 92.
Butler was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Edgewater, to Robert H. Butler and Lucy (nee Gaughran) Butler, growing up in the Bronx, N.Y. and living in New Milford.
She worked as a New York Telephone Company accounting department manager.
Butler was predeceased by her parents; brother, Frank; two sisters, Ellen, and Anne Nealon; one niece; one nephew; and two grand-nephews.

NORWALK, Conn. – Maria (Mary) Giglio, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, Jan. 20 at her home. She was 81.
Giglio was born March 23, 1934, in Lauro, Italy, to Lugo Vivenzio and Antonietta Schiavone, working at Bradlees Department store for more than 30 years.
She was predeceased by her parents and sister Elizabeta Vivenzio of Italy.

MILLBROOK, N.Y. – Mary G. Briggs, of Millbrook, died on Thursday, Jan.14, at Westchester Medical Center. She was 65.
Briggs was born on Sept. 10, 1950, to Joseph and Teresa Malloy Gill in Drumlish County, Longford, Ireland.

Burgin was born in Mount Vernon on April 21, 1962, to Roy Matthews and Elaine Caputo Wheeler, graduating from Arlington High School.

GARFIELD, N.J. – Mary B. Uzar (nee Myslek), of Garfield, died Thursday, Jan. 14. She was 80.
Uzar was born in Padew, Poland, moving to the United States and settling in Garfield.
She worked as an operator for Electro Scan in Garfield before retiring in 1995.

LODI, N.J. – Russell Schiro, of Lodi, died Jan. 17. He was 88.
Schiro served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, going on to work for Uniroyal and Insulfab Plastics after his service.
He was predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Mary and son-in-law Ralph Giacomarro.

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dorothy Hope (Edelman) Lilien, of Stamford, died on Jan. 17 of breast cancer. She was 69.
Lilien was born on Sept. 8, 1946, to Nathaniel and Anne Edelman. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz and Columbia University and going on to work as a children's librarian at the New York Public Library.
She went back to the workforce after becoming a mother, working at Centre for Travel in State College, Pa., as a travel agent.
Lilien was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1979, but went on to travel the world and work for Centre for Travel until recently.
