Synchronized Skaters Descend On Stamford This Weekend STAMFORD, Conn. -- The members of the Southern Connecticut Synchronized Skating team (SCSS) and the Skating Club of Southern Connecticut (SCSC) are set to host the 16th annual Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Open on Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6. The event will draw more than 1,000 skaters, their families, coaches, officials and fans from along the Eastern Seaboard and as far away as Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Hampshire and Maine. Montague was born in Tarrytown on Dec. 31, 1923, the daughter Reuben and Loretta (Cunningham) Melrose. She graduated in 1940 from Washington Irving High School, winning the Business Award. On Nov. 15, 1942 Margaret married Lawrence Montague, Sr. At the time of her husband’s death in 1994, they were married 52 years. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Church.
