Louis Joseph Pucca, Engineer From Yonkers, 83 YONKERS, N.Y. – Louis Joseph Pucca of Yonkers, a retired senior engineer with the New York Power Authority, died Thursday, Sept. 3. He was 83. Pucca was born in 1932 in New York City.  He was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx and earned a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering from the University of Rochester. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1950- 52 at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Police received a complaint Friday, Aug. 21, that two men were flagging down motorists near Whippoorwill Crossing. Officers checked the area but did not spot the men. Meanwhile, later that day, a resident of Birch Grove Drive called police to report that magazine solicitors were going door to door in the neighborhood. The nearly yearlong investigation, which resulted in 32 arrests, was conducted by local and county police with the help of the FBI, News 12 reported. Greenwich Observes 9/11 With Memorial Unveiling, Ceremony GREENWICH, CONN. -- Greenwich will honor the memory of those killed in the 9/11 attacks with the unveiling of a memorial and with a second ceremony. The memorial will be formally unveiled at 9 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at Cos Cob Park on Sound Shore Drive. Another ceremony honoring 9/11 victims, first responders and military personnel is set for 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at the Glenville Firehouse, 266 Glenville Road.
