Katonah Student Named To Nescac Connecticut College All-Academic Team KATONAH, N.Y. -- Liz Varoli, a sophomore at Connecticut College, has been named to the 2016 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team by the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Varoli graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and is the daughter of Marianne O'Toole and David Varoli of Katonah. She is a member of Connecticut College's squash team. She was one of 75 Connecticut College student athletes selected by the conference. No Lead Found In Water At Little Ferry Schools LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- After Newark schools were found to have lead in the drinking water, Memorial and Washington schools were then tested -- and came up negative. Lead was detected in Newark Schools on March 10, and Little Ferry Superintendent Frank Scarafile contacted the Bergen County Department of Health that same day, for assistance in testing the district's water. The BCHD directed him to the water provider, SUEZ, formerly United Water. The next day, a representative from SUEZ came to the district and tested the water in Memorial and Washington schools.
