Tree Branch Crushes Pedestrians, Smashes Tesla Roof In Teaneck: Police
A morning walk turned into a nightmare when a massive tree branch came crashing down in Teaneck, trapping two women, hitting a third, and striking a passing car with a father and his young daughter inside, authorities said.
The branch fell near Sussex Road and Churchill Road around 8:03 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, according to a release from the Teaneck Police Department.
Two Bergenfield women, ages 44 and 45, were pinned under the tree as they walked along the sidewalk. A 50-year-old Ridgefield Park woman was also hit, though she was not trapped, police said.

A 40-year-old man was arrested after a DUI crash outside police headquarters in Rochelle Park that sent a 27-year-old woman to the hospital, authorities said.
The collision happened Friday, Aug. 8, at 12:51 p.m. on West Passaic Street in front of police headquarters, according to Rochelle Park Police Capt. James DePreta.
