A New Jersey woman is suing a local swim club after she says a loose umbrella struck and seriously injured her during a windy Memorial Day weekend visit. Katherine Steiner, 29, of Maywood, filed the complaint against Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club in Bergen County Superior Court on May 21, seeking damages for what she describes as “severe and debilitating injuries” caused by the club’s negligence. Deliveryman Caught Stealing His Own Drop-Off In Mahwah: Police
A delivery subcontractor is accused of swiping a package he had just dropped off at a Bergen County home, and snapping a photo for proof, police said. The alleged theft happened Wednesday, July 9, on a property in Mahwah’s Rio Vista section, according to a press release from Mahwah Police Capt. Michael Blondin. Nine people died in a late-night fire at an assisted living facility in Massachusetts, fire officials said.
