Ardsley HS Grad Snags Honors Pitching For College Team ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- Ardsley High School graduate Brendan McNerney was among the Liberty League year-end award winners for baseball, one of six Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute student-athletes recognized. The freshman right-hander was named "first team." McNerney went 6-2 with a team-low 2.66 earned run average in 13 pitching appearances including 10 starts this season. He led the club with four complete games and two shutouts, allowing 50 hits in 61 innings. He struck out 48 and walked 31, with a .225 opponent batting average. Coulter, on May 15 and will close at noon on Saturday, May 21 to honor his passing and so library staff can attend his funeral. Coulter, as president of the Library Board of Trustees in the early 1960’s, was instrumental in the library’s expansion.
