Elizabeth Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding With Vehicle In Newark: Prosecutor A 40-year-old Elizabeth motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Newark on Saturday, Aug. 9, authorities said. At 5:15 p.m., a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Thomas Street at an increased rate of speed when it collided with the bumper of a 2024 Acura and lost control, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
