Alert Issued For Capital Region 15-Year-Old Missing For 2 Days Police are seeking tips in the search for a 15-year-old boy from the region who has been missing for two days. Keagen Hayes was last seen in Johnstown in Fulton County on Saturday, Oct. 28, according to Johnstown Police. In an update Sunday, Oct. 29, the National Center for Missing and Endangered said Hayes may be in the town of Ephratah. The organization also shared a more recent photo of the boy showing him with all black hair. An older photo shared by Johnstown Police shows him with blonde highlights. Burglar Runs From Cops After Breaking Into Long Island Pharmacy, Police Say An accused burglar is in custody after allegedly breaking into a Long Island pharmacy and then running from police. The incident happened at around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Greenport, at the Colonial Drug Store on Front Street, according to Southold Town Police. Officers were called about a possible break-in and found the suspect, 49-year-old Juan Lopez, of Greenport, inside. Lopez fled the scene on foot and officers arrested him a short time later. Admitted Child Sex Abuser From Capital Region Gets Nearly Decade In Prison A man from the region who confessed to sexually abusing two children will spend nearly a decade behind bars. Rensselaer County resident Johan Felipe Giraldo was sentenced to nine years in prison Thursday, Oct. 26, stemming from an incident involving two children in the Town of Schaghticoke. Groper Assaults Woman At Hobby Lobby Store On Long Island, Police Say Police are asking for help in identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Long Island business. The alleged incident happened in Bay Shore, at the Hobby Lobby store on Sunrise Highway, in September 2023. 24-Year-Old Marine, Aspiring Trooper Killed In Capital Region Car Crash Authorities are investigating a two-crash crash in the region that killed a 24-year-old man. The Albany County wreck happened at around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the hamlet of Loudonville, according to Colonie Police.
