Berkshire DA's Stepdaughter Killed In Suspected Colorado Homicide: 'We Are Heartbroken' A man from Colorado has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of the 32-year-old stepdaughter of Berkshire County District Attorney Timothy J. Shugrue. Jordan Elizabeth LaBarre was killed on July 7 inside a home in Blue River, a small mountain town near Breckenridge, Colorado. Police were called to the house around 6:20 p.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said. Man Brought Gun To New Canaan School For Church Service: Police A 48-year-old Stratford man was arrested this week after a security guard spotted a suspicious bulge beneath the back of his shirt during a church service at a high school in Fairfield County, authorities said.  Corey Parowski was taken into custody on Sunday, July 13, at a New Canaan school during a Grace Community Church service, according to police.
