Man Fatally Struck By Truck On Route 195: Njsp A 44-year-old Bayville man was fatally struck by a tractor trailer on Route 195 west in Hamilton Township on Wednesday morning, July 30, authorities said. At 6:10 a.m., the man was standing outside of a Dodge pickup truck on the right shoulder when he entered the right lane of travel directly into the path of a Volvo tractor trailer and was struck, Charles Marchan, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

Pedestrian Critical After Struck By Vehicle: Galloway Twp PD A pedestrian is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle in Galloway on Tuesday, July 29, authorities said. At 11:10 p.m., officers responded to S. Pomona Road and Langley Road and found a pedestrian lying in the roadway, unconscious and unresponsive, Galloway Township police said. An investigation determined the driver was traveling southbound in the outside lane of S. Pomona Road when he struck the man who was walking westbound in the middle of the road, police said. Three Newark Burglars Busted Breaking Into Homes: Police Four burglars, three juveniles, were arrested and charged after they tried to break into homes in Marlboro, authorities announced Wednesday, July 30. At 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, officers responded to a 911 call from a homeowner on Witherspoon Way about people walking up his back patio and attempting to open his rear sliding glass door, Marlboro police said. Lakewood Father Left Toddler In Locked Car For 20+ Minutes: Prosecutor A 34-year-old Lakewood man was arrested and charged after he left his two-year-old son in a locked car for more than 20 minutes on Tuesday, July 29, as temperatures soared near 100 degrees, authorities said. At 3:15 p.m., a Lakewood Township police officer observed a small child alone in a parked vehicle, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. The vehicle was locked and not running, police said. No Charges For Keansburg Officer Who Fatally Shot Chainsaw Wielding Man: AG A state grand jury declined to criminally charge a Keansburg police officer who fatally shot a 46-year-old man wielding a chainsaw, authorities announced Wednesday, July 30. Support Swells For Wharton Families Who Lost Home In Fire The community is coming together after a fire tore through five townhomes in Wharton on Saturday, July 26. Two fundraisers have been created to help one of the families impacted by the fire. Keylor Guzman said his family lost everything in the fire, including their clothes, bedding and furniture.
