Be A Model For The Elmwood Park Fashion Show
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — Models are needed for the Elmwood Park Centennial Fashion Show April 12. Men, women and children of all sizes are needed. Entrants' names will be placed in a drawing and chosen according to size and gender. Clothing is also needed for a segment of the show called “Through the Years.” Wanted are Elmwood Park High School varsity jackets, cheerleading uniforms or jackets and football and scouting uniforms. Brookfield Police Make Two Arrests In Bank Robbery
BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Two people were arrested in connection with Monday’s robbery of the Union Savings Bank at 828 Federal Road, Brookfield police said Wednesday. When the two men were arrested, they had in their possession bills with serial numbers recorded by Union Savings Bank before the robbery, police said. Officers recovered a total of $8,077 in currency, police said. Police arrested Daniel Rodriguez, who police say admitted to police he entered and robbed the bank. Bethel Police Investigate Rash Of Car Thefts Downtown
BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel police are warning residents to keep their cars locked as officers investigate several recent attempted and successful car thefts, mostly in the downtown area.Many of these reports came from people who had left their cars unlocked with keys inside, police said. All but one of the thefts or attempted thefts happened in and around downtown, police said. Cars have either been stolen, stolen and later returned to the area, or broken into in an attempt to steal it, police said. Sponsored by St. Joseph School, the 11th Annual Tricky Tray includes a four-course dinner, beer, wine, soda and a 25-ticket sheet for the auction. Rochelle Park Water Main Break Shuts East Passaic Near Rt. 17 Until 4 p.m.
ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- A water main break is causing road closures and drivers are asked to plan alternate routes. East Passaic Street between New Rochelle Avenue and Route 17 is now closed and will reopen approximately 4 p.m., according to the Maywood Police Department. Woman Driving Wrong Way On I-87 Charged With DWI, Police Say
YONKERS, N.Y. – A Mitsubishi Montero pulled over for driving on 1-87 in the opposite lane in Yonkers, ended with the arrest of a Peekskill woman, New York Police said. The car was reportedly traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at approximately 6:40 a.m. Jan. 14 near the I-87 toll booth, state troopers said.
