Ridgewood Schools Create Survey To Gauge Full-Day Kindergarten Interest
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — The question of full-day kindergarten is being put to the community in January by way of an online survey conducted by the school district. The survey can be taken by clicking here from Jan. 4-21. People without access to a computer can attend an open computer night from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School or 4-6 p.m. Jan. 13 at George Washington Middle School. The survey will be used to gather information on the perceptions of the current kindergarten program and to assist in deciding the feasibility of changing it to a full time program. Click here…

Hop Aboard 'The Polar Express' At Somers Library
SOMERS, Conn. — Get tickets now for "The Polar Express" taking off from the Somers Library on Monday. In the dining car will be hot chocolate, popcorn and peppermint sticks for all. We'll read the book then watch the movie. The event runs from 4-6 p.m. and everyone is asked to wear their pajamas. No registration is necessary. The event will be held in the program room. Fairview Gym Invites Community To Get Fit With 2016 Classes For All Ages
FAIRVIEW, N.J. — There’s no reason to wait until the new year to start working out. The World Gym of Fairview has 35,000 square feet of space that’s open now. Spinning, cardio training, toning, yoga and Zumba are just some of the classes available at the World Gym of Fairview. PARK RIDGE, N.J. — A volunteer is needed to help maintain a church website in Park Ridge. Our Lady of Mercy is looking for someone to serve as volunteer webmaster at its site, www.urolm.org. Typical updates include the weekly bulletin attachment and periodic ministry schedules. In general, changes to the website require about an hour a week. WAYNE, N.J. — Baseball registration is open for Wayne boys and girls ages 4-14. Registration continues through Feb. 20 and the cost is $100. The season is from mid-March through June. The divisions are Pioneers (U5/6 T-ball); Double A (coach pitch); Triple A (competitive with modified rules); Majors (U12); Junior League (U14 Modified High School rules on a regulation field). Ridgewood Parking Permits Available
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Resident Parking Permits for 2016 are available for Ridgewood residents. Permits will be sold each business day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents are asked to bring their driver’s license and registrations for all cars they to wish to register for permits. This is necessary for new applications, as well as renewals. Permits are available for residents and provide coin-less convenience. Lewisboro Library Offers Bricks For Latest Fundraising Round
LEWISBORO, N.Y. — Orders are being taken for the next round of engraved bricks to be installed at the Reader’s Walkway at the Lewisboro Library. Over 200 custom engraved bricks were installed in the front of the Library in late September. Patrons strolling along the Reader’s Walkway often stop to read the inscriptions commissioned by fellow community members. Engraved bricks are $200 for two lines of text and $300 for three lines.
