ORANGETOWN, N.Y. — Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined sportscaster and South Nyack resident Bob Wolff at the New City Library this week for a special showing of the documentary, "Till Then: a Journey through World War II Love Letters." FAIRFIELD, Conn. — At least 11 states are trying to entice General Electric to move its 800-employee Fairfield headquarters, but Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Former Ambassador From Greenwich Worried After Terror Attacks In France
GREENWICH, Conn. — Terrorists are gaining a position of control, says the former U.S. ambassador to France, who is a resident of Greenwich, according to a story on newstimes.com. Craig Stapleton served under President George Bush from 2005-09 and points to Friday’s attack in Paris as cause for alarm, the story said. Survey questions, not environmental factors, are likely responsible for the rise in the reported numbers of autism cases, says buzzfeed.com. A U.S. Census Bureau survey published Friday indicated 1 in 45 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, up from 1 in 80, according to the article. Health statistics experts say it’s because of the way the survey was put together. BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteer drivers in Dumont, Mahwah, Northvale, Norwood, Paramus, Ramsey, River Edge and Oradell. The volunteers give two hours each month to deliver meals to those in need. Food is picked up from 10 to 11 a.m. and delivered to 10 to 12 clients.
