Upper Saddle River Fire Department Responds To Walnut Drive Fire UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- The Upper Saddle River Fire Department was dispatched to a smell-of-smoke fire on Monday night, April 11, and found a small mulch fire. The USRFD was dispatched at at 6:50 p.m. to Walnut Drive. The small fire was in the rear of the residence. Engine 1232 extinguished it while Engine 1231 and Rescue 1242 crews checked the inside of the home. Stamford's Shelter For The Homeless Gains $218K Grant STAMFORD, Conn. — Shelter for the Homeless -- which operates Pacific House emergency men's shelter, and develops and manages deeply affordable supportive housing as an avenue out of homelessness -- received a $217,928 grant from Connecticut's Nonprofit Grant Program. Bridgeport Rescue Mission Teams With Urban Impact To Feed Kids In Need BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport Rescue Mission is teaming up with local nonprofit Urban Impact of Black Rock to provide meals for low-income children.
