Israeli Paratrooper Shares 'Operation Thunderbolt' Experience In Closter
CLOSTER, N.J. -- Sassy Reuven, a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces elite "Red Beret" paratrooper unit, will discuss his experiences on Tuesday, May 17, at Closter's Temple Emanu-El.
Reuven participated in several cover operations, including a hostage-rescue mission code-named "Operation Thunderbolt," which rescued Jewish hostages being held by terrorists in Uganda.
"His story is Israel's story: of courage, endurance, defiance and a willingness to sacrifice it all for the right to live in your homeland in freedom," organizers noted.

SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- The Saddle River Day School's World Language Department hosted its biennial International Dinner on Friday, April 1. Members of the school community prepared and shared food from around the world.

RIVER VALE, N.J. -- The "Animals, Art and Acceptance" program came to Hillsdale's Smith School on Tuesday, April 12, and the students got to discuss diversity, with the help of a three-legged friend.
