"The HHPD Trading Card Program is designed to increase the positive contacts between the HHPD and the children of the community," the Department website notes. Dannel Malloy released his updated budget proposal on Tuesday afternoon, April 12 -- and it contains education funding cuts that Rep. Terrie Wood says are unfair to Darien. Wood said that the budget would completely cut Darien's Education Cost Sharing, or ECS, funding. Under Malloy's updated budget proposal, Darien's recommended amount of ECS funding went from over $1.3 million to zero, for 2016-2017.
