Haworth Group Helps People Improve Public Speaking And Leadership Skills HAWORTH, N.J. -- Jim Tosone will be leading an improvisational workshop for Northern Valley Toastmasters on Monday, April 4. Toastmasters is a club to improve public speaking and leadership skills. Guests are always welcome and can come without providing advanced notice. Stamford High, Westhill High Bring Home Awards From Drama Festival STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford High School Strawberry Hill Players and Westhill High School Northstar Playmakers participated in the Connecticut Drama Association Festival over the past weekend. Fairfield Teen's Humanitarian Group Raises Over $1,000 For Indian Children FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- After witnessing the extent to which poverty has curbed Indian slum children's potential, Fairfield Warde High School junior Cameron Luther founded Humanity Helping Humanity. At the group's first fundraiser -- a bake sale on Sunday March 20 -- it has already raised over $1,000.All proceeds will be used to buy new clothes and hygiene kits for impoverished children in Hyderabad, India. Norwalk Police Offer Free Car-Seat Installation Help NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Department of Police offers free car-seat installations and inspection for Norwalk residents, by its nationally certified child passenger safety technicians. Buckle Up for Life estimates that 75 percent of all child car seats in the U.S. are installed incorrectly. Car crashes are the number-one killer of kids under 12, the organization notes, but many such injuries and deaths are avoidable with proper safety.
