Stamford Sixth-Grader Wins Maple-Flavored Teen Chef Challenge STAMFORD, Conn. -- Rylie Emma Walker, a sixth-grade student from Stamford, was voted as the winning chef, at the First County Bank Teen Chef Challenge, during the Maple Sugar Festival Weekend, March 5-6. Walker competed against seven other talented teen chefs to create the best-tasting recipe using maple syrup, as judged by the public and five celebrity judges. Walker won with her maple meatballs and maple blinis and was invited to return in 2017 as a celebrity judge. The competition took place at the Stamford Nature Center & Museum, 39 Scofieldtown Rd.

Farrington had been a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt for the past 58 years. Sister "C.J." was born in the Bronx. She received a bachelor's in education from Dominican College, in Orangeburg. She devoted 34 years of her ministry to the care and education of the children of St. Dominic's Home in Blauvelt.
