New Rochelle's Music On The Green Announces Schedule, Performers
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The BID Music on the Green series returns with four parties in downtown New Rochelle, in Ruby Dee Park on Library Green in early July and August. In the event of rain, the concert moves indoors to the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library, on a first-come, first-served basis to the capacity of the 138-seat theater, beginning at 6:45 pm. Man Accused Of Assault On Route 59 In Rockland
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police charged a Suffern man with assaulting a 24-year-old woman Saturday morning, May 28, behind the former Rockland Drive-in Theater on Route 59 in Monsey, according to lohud.com
The suspect, Emmanuel Jean Tenemille, 43, and the woman knew each other, police said and the woman contacted police to report the assault before being treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released, according lohud.com
Police charged Tenemille with three felonies: assault, strangulation and criminal contempt. He was arraigned in Montebello Justice Court and sent to the Rockland County jail…
Greeley's Katherine Chapin Chosen For Future Medical Leaders Conference
CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Katherine Chapin, a student at Horace Greeley High School, will be attending a three-day conference in Lowell, Mass., in June with other honors high school students from across the country as they explore the field of medicine. During the conference, "The Congress of Future Medical Leaders," the students will have the opportunity to learn from Nobel laureates, National Medal of Science winners, and other experts in medical research.
