New Jersey Gas Prices Continue To Fall
BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Gas prices hit a new low Monday and analysts expect the downward trend to continue, reports nj.com. New Jersey drivers are finding prices at the tank as little as $1.49 per gallon for regular, says nj.com. The decline follows a drop in wholesale costs last week, as refined gas inventories increased by more than 10 million barrels, according to nj.com. New Jersey Property Taxes Soar To Highest In Four Years
BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Property taxes in New Jersey are at their highest level in four years, and the latest hike is above the 2010 state-mandated 2 percent cap, reports nj.com. This is the second year in a row taxes are up, and property owners paid an average of almost $200 a year more in 2014 than 2013, according to nj.com. On Gov. WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A young Yonkers teacher is dead of an overdose and the 78-year-old Monroe psychiatrist accused of being his dealer is home, following his bail hearing Friday, Jan. 8, reported lohud.com. Man Charged With Bribery In Attempt To Pass Westchester DMV Exam
YONKERS, N.Y. — A $500 bribe was offered to a New York State Motor Vehicle representative in Yonkers Thursday, Jan. 7 in return for a passing Commercial Driver License exam, New York State police said. The employee notified her supervisor and authorities were called. Homero Rodriguez, 64, of New York City was arrested by New York State Police from the Hawthorne Barracks, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Investigations Unit.
