NEWBURGH, N.Y. — Almost 40 people are possibly homeless after a fire ripped through apartments on Second Street, according to multiple reports. The blaze gutted through homes, destroying personal property, and forcing tenants to salvage through belongings, says News 12. LEWISBORO, N.Y. — Bradley Peter Davis, lifelong resident of the Dutchess County area, died suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 31 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 61. Born in Harrison, he graduated from John Jay High School in 1972 and was named the Dutchess County Amateur Player that same year. RAMAPO, N.Y. — The deputy mayor soon takes the reigns now that Mayor Jeffrey Oppenheim sold his house in a divorce settlement and plans to move out of town, reports lohud.com. Man Run Over By Van At Westchester Costco In Apparent Road Rage Incident
This story has been updated. NEW ROCHELLE -- A trip to New Rochelle’s Costco ended with assault charges and a hospitalization on New Year’s Eve in an apparent road rage incident, according to multiple reports. A man reportedly tore a windshield wiper off a minivan after a fight, just before being run over by the driver of the minivan, says News12. Obama Discussing Executive Action On Gun Control With AG
A gun control measure by President Barack Obama is expected to be announced ahead of his Jan. 12 State of the Union address, reports CNN. A meeting is planned Monday, Jan. 4 between Obama and Attorney General Loretta Lynch to decide what steps to take next, says CNN.
