Elmwood Park To Celebrate Centennial At Reorganization Meeting ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — The 100th anniversary of Elmwood Park will be celebrated at the Centennial Municipal Reorganization and swearing in ceremony Friday at Elmwood Park Municipal Building. Residents are invited to mark the centennial, as well as meet their new officials. Being sworn in are: Mayor Richard Mola Council Member Anthony Chirdo Council Member Magdalena Giandomenico The 1 p.m. ceremony will be in the council chambers, 182 Market St. A reception will follow.

Saddle Brook Board of Education Reorganization Scheduled SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — The swearing in of re-elected Saddle Brook school board members takes place at the Saddle Brook Board of Education reorganization meeting Wednesday, Jan. 6. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the high school. Sworn in will be Parampree Singh, Joseph Nigito and Stephen Quinn who were re-elected in the Nov. 3 election. Yorktown Resident Charged With Pushing, Twisting Man's Arm In Dispute YORKTOWN, N.Y. — A 24-year-old Yorktown man was charged with harassment by Yorktown police after officers received a call summoning them to a dispute on Deerhaunt Street, according to police. Officers arrived on the scene Dec. 21 after receiving a call at 8:42 a.m. An investigation revealed Adam A. Urbana allegedly pushed and twisted the arm of the Deerhaunt resident at 7:30 that morning before he left the scene. Northern New Jersey Community Foundation Awards Grant For Englewood Idol ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- A $1,500 grant was awarded to support arts and music enrichment scholarships for 10 contestants participating in Englewood Idol to attend area performing arts schools. Paterson Firefighter Films Safety Announcement PATERSON, N.J. — A Paterson firefighter gave a public service announcement on Cablevision focusing on the importance of clearing fire hydrants in inclement weather. Paterson Firefighter Beth Fournier participated in a Cablevision fire safety public service announcement in December. The video focused on the importance of clearing fire hydrants. "Help us keep you safe by making sure fire hydrants are free and clear of any debris that might block us from getting to them," the fire department said in a statement.
