RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Multifamily housing is the topic of discussion at a special public meeting of the Ridgewood Village Council on Friday, Jan. 8. Various consultants are presenting proposals for the four multifamily housing studies covering fiscal impact, traffic, education and municipal infrastructure. ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — A $15,000 donation was given to bergenPAC in Englewood by TD Bank. The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, gave the donation as part of the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community. HACKENSACK, N.J. — Avoid the area of Essex Street and Polify Road due to gas and water main breaks, according to reports from the Hackensack Fire Department. Trucks from PSE&G and Suez Environment, the holding company for United Water, are at the scene. Traffic delays are likely and road closures possible. Taekwondo Fundraiser Will Benefit Glen Rock Dog Park
GLEN ROCK, N.J. — A taekwondo instructor will hold an all-day fundraiser on Sunday, Jan. 24, to raise money for a dog park in Glen Rock. Instructor Gary Stevens will hold classes running from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at 175 Rock Road (behind the CVS). Suggested donation is $20 per person or $35 per family. Cost for the Jumping-Jack-A-Thon for children ages 5-12 is $5 per child. Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department Seeks Donations
GLEN ROCK, N.J. — Year-end donations are sought by the all-volunteer fire department in Glen Rock. There are no paid firefighters at the Glen Rock Fire Department. Members of the GRFD respond to fire calls from their homes and businesses 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
