Julia French, 89, Garfield Resident MONTVILLE, N.J. — Julia French (nee Zeidler), of Montville died Thursday, Dec. 10. She was 89. She came to the United States from Germany in 1952. She was a seamstress who worked for Hartmann, Inc. in Garfield until 1976 and Goralski, Inc. in Elmwood Park until her retirement in 1995. She utilized her sewing talents to create her daughter's wedding gown and was an avid gardener who grew prize tomatoes and an accomplished cook and baker. She is survived by her daughter Lillian A.
