New Canaan's Grace Farms Organizes Justice Initiative To Combat Violence
NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Grace Farms Foundation announced that it will inaugurate its Justice Initiative by organizing a two-day workshop in its New Canaan facility to develop comprehensive long-term strategies and partnerships to combat child sex trafficking and gender-based violence. Convening from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 6, the workshop is open to the public and will address three key areas: awareness and prevention; investigation and prosecution; and victim services. Bedford Train Station Will Be Haunted On Halloween
BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. — The Bedford Hills Historical Museum is sponsoring a haunted train station at the Bedford Hills Train Station. There will be treats for all ages. The event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, at the train station, 46 Depot Plaza, Bedford Hills. PORT CHESTER, N.Y. — Port Chester's annual coat drive run is set for Nov. 3 through Dec. 5. Coats can be dropped off between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Port Chester Village Hall, 222 Grace Church St., Port Chester. A special traffic enforcement detail will begin on Friday, Oct. 30 and continue through Sunday Nov. 1 to crack down on drunk driving and underage drinking this Halloween weekend. The New York State Police, as well as local and county law enforcement agencies, will increase patrols.
