Dutchess County 2016 Property Tax Rate Reduced By 1.6 Percent POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — The Dutchess County property tax rate is being cut for the first time in eight years, with no reduction in programs or services. For the second consecutive year, the budget lowers the property tax levy (the amount collected countywide from property taxes) by more than $1 million and reduces the property tax rate by 1.6 percent.
