Richard C. Baluha, 75, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. – Richard C. Baluha, a life-long resident of Norwalk, died on April 2. He was 75.
Baluha was born on April 23, 1940 to Cyril F. and Mary Bepko Baluha, graduating from Bullard Havens Technical School with a certificate in architectural drafting.
He went on to found National Automatic Transmissions in 1963, running the company for 25 years and expanding it into marine transmissions.

BROOKFIELD, Conn. – Judith Ann Fisher, of Brookfield, died on March 26. She was 80.
Fisher was born in Weymouth, Mass., on Dec. 2, 1935, to Doris Roberts Parker and Leonard Eudy Parker.
She had a varied business career, working as a a secretary, children’s librarian, proofreader and trade show coordinator at National Shawmut Bank, AT&T, E.S. Deans, Kero-Sun, General DataComm and Branson Ultrasonics.

Donald O'Connor, 83, Of Larchmont
LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Donald Thomas "Doc" O'Connor, a longtime resident of Larchmont, died on Thursday, March 31. He was 83.
O'Connor was born in Rockaway Beach on Aug. 31, 1932, to Joseph and Mildred (Stothard) O'Connor.
He graduated from Xavier High School in Manhattan, Fordham University and Fordham Law School.
After serving as a first lieutenant in the Army in Korea from 1954 to 1956, he worked as a corporate attorney for Mobil Oil Corporation in Manhattan for more than 30 years and as a real estate attorney after retiring from Mobil.

SHELTON, Conn. – David L. Haddad, of Shelton, died on Wednesday, March 30 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was 70.
Haddad was born in West Hartford on June 11, 1945 to Louis and Rose Haddad, working in the sales department of the Carrington Company and installing computers at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by two sons, David and his wife Francine, and Christopher and his wife Dayan, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and ex-wife Lillian Krause.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Maria Da Conceicao Morgado Carvalho, of Lake Wylie, S.C. and formerly of Wappingers Falls and Mount Vernon, died on Thursday, March 31. She was 69.
Carvalho was born on July 2, 1946 in Ferradosa-Alfandega Da Fe, Portugal.

MARLBORO, N.Y. – Boyd Richard "Red" Brewer, Sr., of Marlboro, died on Wednesday, March 30, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 87.
Brewer was born on March 31, 1928, in Belmont, N.C., to John and Frances Robinson Brewer.

BEACON, N.Y. – Joann Romano of Beacon died Thursday, March 31, at Elant at Fishkill. She was 75.
