NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Ellen 'Eileen' (nee Morrissey) Gilbride, of New Rochelle, died April 10 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Gilbride was born in 1930 in Rathkeale, County Limerick, Ireland, emigrating to the United States as a young woman, initially working as a nanny and eventually as a manager at the College of New Rochelle.
She was predeceased by her husband Andrew.

William Gregory Byrnes, 84, Of Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. – William Gregory Byrnes, of Stamford, died at Stamford Hospital on Friday, April 8. He was 84.
Byrnes was born on Nov. 18, 1931 to Patrick J. and Elizabeth Byrnes, graduating from Fairfield University and the University of Bridgeport.
He worked as a social studies teacher and class advisor at Rippowam High School and Stamford High School until retiring in 1992.
Byrnes was predeceased by his parents, brother Patrick and two sisters, Elizabeth and Rita.

Kelly Devine, 36, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. – Kelly Devine, of Norwalk, died in her home after a brief illness on Thursday, April 7. She was 36.
Devine was born on June 25, 1979 in Norwalk to Jay and Cathy Devine, graduating from Norwalk High School, the College of William and Mary and Fairfield University.
She was a longtime swim team member, winning a state title with Norwalk High and swimming collegiately at William and Mary.
Devine was also a coach at the Shore and Country Club.

Putnam County Jail Inmates Arrested On Multiple Drug Charges
PUTNAM, N.Y. – Putnam County deputy sheriffs arrested three county jail inmates on multiple drug charges last week week after they were accused of sneaking contraband into the jail, authorities said.
Ceferino Garcia, 36, Daremus Reynolds, 35, and Frank Pasqua Jr., 36, were charged after a search of the jail on March 28 as officers were suspicious that drugs were being smuggled into the jail by an outsider during a visit, authorities said.
Heroin, suboxone and other drugs were found both on inmates and in their cells, authorities said.
