James Bodnar Sr., 90, Of Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – James Thomas Bodnar Sr., a longtime resident of Fairfield, died Monday, Feb. 29 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was 90.
Bodnar was born in Portage, Pa., served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired as a carpenter for Dean Construction in Norwalk.
He was predeceased by his wife Pauline (nee Szyngera).
He is survived by two sons, James Jr. and his wife Karen of Trumbull and Michael; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

James Steele, 74, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. – James A. Steele, of Norwalk, died on Saturday, Feb. 20 at his home. He was 74.
Steele was born in Nova Scotia, Canada to Roland and Amelia Steele, serving in the U.S. Army Reserve and owning Steele's Automotive in Westport until retiring in 2001.
He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by wife Isobel, daughter Skye Bird and husband Terry of Rochester, N.Y., two stepsons, Keith Bok and his wife Randee, and Kevin Bok, three grandchildren, and two brothers, Nelson and Gordon Steele of Nova Scotia.

Margaret M. Sullivan, 90, Of Valhalla
VALHALLA, N.Y. – Margaret M. Sullivan, of Valhalla, died on Saturday, Feb. 27. She was 90.
Sullivan was born on Aug. 11, 1925, to Austin G. and Nora Cleary in New York City.
Sullivan is survived by her daughter Barbara Gerster and her husband, Theodore of North White Plains; two sons, Robert and his wife, Claire of Madison, Conn., Thomas and his partner Ann Brown of Leonia, N.J., two brothers, John Cleary of Brooklyn, Dennis Cleary of Bethany Beach, Del., seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and brother Austin Cleary.

Luigi Solimeo, 60, Of Harrison
HARRISON, N.Y. – Luigi Solimeo, a longtime resident of Harrison, died on Saturday, Feb. 27. He was 60.
He is survived by his wife, Giovanna, three children, Andrea, Lisa and Paolo, and twin brother Saverio.
Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 East Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Church.

Ruth Nevers, 91, Of Redding
REDDING, Conn. – Ruth Ackerman Nevers, of Redding, died on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Masonicare of Newtown. She was 91.
Nevers was born in Patterson, N.J., to John and Rebecca Ackerman, working as a registered nurse for Vandoran Convalescent Home.
She was predeceased by her parents, and is survived by daughter Christina M. O'Neill of Middlebury, two sons; Jeffery of Bridgeport, and John of Flagstaff, Ariz., sister Betty A. Blasberg of Vermont, and three grandchildren.

Thomas R. O'Donoghue, 70, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. – Thomas R. O'Donoghue, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Friday, Feb. 26. He was 70.
O'Donoghue graduated from Roosevelt High School and the University of Florida, playing baseball throughout his studies.
After college, he started his own home improvement business now run by his family, while continuing to coach youth sports.
He was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Dylan; a son, Timothy; and a daughter-in-law, Blake Eger.

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Claire Pushkal, a longtime resident of Larchmont, died Sunday, Feb. 28. She was 88.
Pushkal was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her son Joseph; her daughter, Janet; one granddaughter; and a sister, Sister Doris Therese.
