Police Dish Out Nearly 5K Tickets In Statewide Weekend Detail ARMONK, N.Y. – The New York State Police issued almost 5,000 tickets during a 34-hour detail starting Feb. 6 and ending on Super Bowl Sunday. From 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 until midnight Monday, Feb. 8, police issued 4,686 tickets in total during the detail, over three times as much as 2015's Super Bowl weekend detail. Over 150 accidents were investigated, with 29 injuries but no fatalities. Just over 90 arrests were made for driving while intoxicated, and 1,772 speeding tickets were issued.

A call came in from a Hillcrest resident reporting that he heard a woman screaming about 12:15 a.m., and when officers checked the area, they found out about a dispute between a man and a woman, who had left the area, police said.
