BEEKMAN, N.Y. — A talk about lyme disease takes place 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. at the Beekman Public Library. Ardsley Woman Who Failed To Use Turn Signal On Sprain Charged With DWI
GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Denise M. Apostle, 43, of Ardsley was charged with alleged drunk driving Nov. 7, police said. New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks said troopers stopped Apostle’s 2013 Volvo traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway for failing to utilize a directional signal. She also was allegedly found to be driving while intoxicated, police said. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

Shelton History Center Seeks Help Fixing Damaged Collections
SHELTON, Conn. — The Brownson House at the Shelton History Center needs help after sustaining severe damage following an Oct 28 storm. High winds and heavy rain caused damage to the roof, which was already under repair, as well as to front ceilings and walls of the 193-year-old house. In addition, the main collection storeroom in the basement was damaged. School groups that were scheduled to participate in programs have been canceled. Computer Glitch At VA Leaves Combat Vets Without Healthcare
A computer glitch is causing more than 29,000 combat veterans to go without healthcare, the Huffington Post reports. To get healthcare, most veterans — but never combat vets — must fill out a means test, which assesses household income. CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. — Clarkstown High School North senior Vishal Mathew could be among the elite 2015 Presidential Scholars, having advanced to the next round of the selection process.
