Skype-a-Docent Brings Mattatuck Museum Tour To Fairfield Library FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- You can visit the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury from a seat in the Fairfield Library’s Rotary Room from 10:30 to11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The Fairfield Main Library is located at 1080 Old Post Road. Anthony F. Fedele, 88, Of West Harrison HARRISON, N.Y. -- Anthony F. Fedele, of West Harrison, died Oct. 11. He was 88. He was born in New Rochelle, N.Y. His parents are the late John and Julia Fedele. Fedele served in the U.S> Army Air Corp from 1945-47. In 1953, he married Louise Eye. He worked for the highway department for the Village of Ardsley for more than 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Ardsley American Legion. He also was a craftsman, photographer and cook. Besides his wife Louise of West Harrison, he is survived by his children, Toni Fedele of Scarsdale and his daughter Julie and husband Ralph …

Rose Memorial Library In Stony Point Closed After Water Main Break NORTH ROCKLAND, N.Y. – The Rose Memorial Library in Stony Point is closed until further notice following a water main break that destroyed walls, carpets and hundreds of children’s books, news12hudsonvalley.com reports. Car Stolen In Newtown Found In Bridgeport NEWTOWN — An abandoned Mercedes SUV found by police Oct. 9 in Bridgeport turned out to be a vehicle reported stolen from a Newton driveway, newstimes.com reports. Putnam Sheriff Seeks Woman On Charges Of Controlled Substance Possession PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Benlynx Garcia is wanted by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department on a bench warrant out of Patterson Town Court to answer charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of hypodermic instrument, police said. Garcia’s last known location was Hopewell Junction. She is described as 5-feet tall, 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Garcia failed to appear in the Town Of Patterson Court and the bench warrant was issued on April 8. Yorktown Teen Faces Forged License, Marijuana Charges YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown teen was arrested at 11 p.m., Tuesday, and charged with possession of a forged driver’s license and marijuana, police said. According to police reports, an officer was on routine patrol when he spotted a vehicle parked in the corner of the Lakeland High School lot on East Main Street. Following an investigation at the scene, it's alleged that the defendant was in possession of a forged driver's license and a quantity of marijuana. The teen was released to his parents on his own recognizance pending a November court appearance.

John Lewis Day Celebrated In South Salem With Prayer, Music, Fun SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The John Lewis Day event took place Saturday at St. Paul’s Chapel, 123 at Elmwood Road, Vista.The parade was canceled due to weather but the rest of the festivities took place as planned. The Anticoh Baptist Choir performed, followed by an ecumenical service. There was plenty of musical entertainment and food favorites, including barbecue. The party ran until dusk.
