Fire Sirens Essential, Glen Rock Officials Assert

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Dominick Scopelliti, a West Harrison resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 29. He was 71. He was born in Reggio Calabra, Italy, Francesco and Maria Scopelliti. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a mason for more than 30 years and also owned a Pepperidge Farms bread route for 10 years. He was an avid bowler and loved his garden. Woman, 28, Charged With DWI In Taconic Parkway Stop
PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- Emily A. Nilsson, 28, of Putnam Valley was charged at 10 p.m. on Sept. 23 with driving while intoxicated in the area Taconic State Parkway at Bryant Pond Road. According to reports, she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and swerved across pavement markings into the oncoming lane of traffic and drive onto the shoulder of the roadway. She was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Former state Superior Court Judge Alexander H. Carver III, known for handling sticky situations, is the new city attorney in Hackensack, northjersey.com reports. Darien Woman Raises Alzheimer's Awareness Before Annual Walk
DARIEN, Conn. — The success of the annual Fairfield County Walk to End Alzheimer's, which will be held Sunday in Norwalk, is thanks to the support and participation of dedicated residents.
