Wappinger Man, 27, Charged With Drug Possession After Traffic Stop
WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- Michael L. Fragoso, 27, of Wappinger, was charged Sept. 23 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. According to New York State Police, Fragoso was stopped on Myers Corners Road for an alleged equipment violation and was found in possession of heroin. He also was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation for operating a motor vehicle with suspended driving privileges. Fragoso was released pending an Oct. 15 court appearance in Wappinger.

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Ratings are up at MSNBC now that New Canaan resident Brian Williams is back on the air, reports the huffintonpost.com. Williams, who was suspended for six months from "NBC Night News" after being caught embellishing and lying about news stories, hasn’t addressed his absence, the huffintonpost.com said. Family Fun Day Raises Funds For Gullotta House
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Gullotta House, the Village of Tarrytown and Joe Arduino teamed up on Sept. 20 to present Tarrytown Family Fun Day & Music Festival Fundraiser at Pierson Park. Proceeds from the event will help two students living in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow.
