The Red Carpet Comes Out For Ossining's Fall Food, Fashion Show OSSINING, N.Y. – The first Ossining Fall Food & Fashion Show takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Market Square, next to the Ossining Farmers Market. State Attorney General Suing Nyack Head Shop NYACK, N.Y. – A head shop on South Broadway in Nyack is the center of a lawsuit filed by state Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman, lohud.com says. According to LoHud, investigators began investigating Liquid Glass Shop, 66 S. Broadway, after a Suffern resident reported her son collapsed after inhaling a substance purchased at the store. Officials are accusing the business of selling synthetic hallucinogenic substances that can have deadly effects, lohud.com reports. Take A Fire Truck Ride At Mount Kisco FD's Open House MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an open house and fire truck rides from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Green Street Firehouse, 40 Green St.. Children and adults can experience a ride on a fire truck, view equipment and share other activities with the fire department. The department also would like to remind the community that it's a volunteer organization that relies greatly on donations. A&P In Washington Township Sold To Family Foodtown Member PASCACK VALLEY, NJ – The A&P in Washington Township was purchased for $400,000 by a Woodland Parks-based supermarket operator, northjersey.com reports. Nicholas Markets was founded in 1943 by N. Nicholas Maniaci and is still owned by the Maniaci family, a long-time member of the Foodtown grocery cooperative group, northjersey.com says.
